hey pk. maybe everybody is not as fortunate as you and cannot put out 25-50k cash. just sayin. however ; your opinion is noted just not the opinion of the most of us i would suspect.
CB Didnt mean to offend. but please dont confuse fortune for hard work and conscious priority setting.
Our political views may be different</font id=“red”>, but I’m in total agreeance with this one. Never once financed a boat or any play toy. I hear all the time “it’s the American way to be in debt” and many other things close to this. It’s not my American way.
what are you talking about? you don’t know me. and this is a boating forum. just stop, please.
Bonecrusher, buy a brand that holds its value, care for it, and enjoy. when you are ready for the next, do the same. on financing, its your life, but manage your money as if you will lose your job in the next 6 months.
Put me in the don’t finance toys category. A HELOC is a good choice if you don’t owe a lot on your house and have no debt, you can write off the interest.
There are always a couple people that can’t help themselves but to chime in to say they pay cash for everything. I guess this makes them feel better about themselves to make the poster feel bad about needing or wanting to finance something.

I’ve got a truck financed and my house and land used to be financed. No intent to make myself feel better. I say the same things to my children. Just trying to pass on what I think is good advice. Never intended to make Bonecrusher feel bad. Hope he gets his boat and uses it enough to justify the expense. Nothing like being out on the water if doing nothing but riding and looking at nature.
