Who is the best best boat motor mechanic in the charleston area?
What kind of motor?
“Apathy is the Glove into Which Evil Slips It’s Hand”, but really, who cares?
1993 Yamaha 130. The motor will trim up but not trim down. Im pretty sure my motor (model 130TLRR) has 2 different relays. When I press the trim down button on either the motor or throttle handle, it makes a noise like it wants to move but never does.

I’ve never heard anything but good ,about Chris V, this site! My Yamaha pick is, Murphy at Hanckels Marine! I trust him! Certified Yamaha, 5 Star Service!
Swap the relays around to see if one is bad. If is does the the opposite then change the bad relay out.

What he said, and if you do have a bad rely spend the extra and get a good sealed one to replace it with. I used to keep a spare in my “crash” kit.
I have two relays each with a different parts number. is there any reason why I couldn’t switch them around? I want to switch them but want to make sure nothing else is going to be damaged. the trim up relay is $89.95 and the trim down relay is $113.95.
