Hey fellas, I’m from the upstate and usually haul to Murrells Inlet and go out. Whats the best way to go out from Charleston? Quickest/easier way to the big water. Thank you in advance.
Btw imin a 22’ter so I can get most places just want it to be safe with my kids on the boat.
Remleys Point ramp would seem to fit your needs.
Can be busy during the Summer!

Penny, you just want to sit under the tree and watch!
They love to watch at Murrells Inlet to. I must admit I get amused to, especially when the spot brigade is there in force. A little wind and a good tide change can make it tuff on the ones who aren’t used to it. Thanks for the advice on ramps. How far is to the ocean from those ramps? The thing I like about MI is I can be in the ocean in 5 minutes. Not to mention it’s a neat place with nice people.
fastdog, you can’t beat watching people especially the fairer sex anywhere in the harbor or on the inter coastal on a warm holiday weekend.WOW!
Shem Creek will dump you right into the harbor. But you have to follow the channel as it can be shallow around Crab Bank. But you are about 5 minutes to the jettys. Good landing, but like everywhere, it can get busy in the summer. Just hit all the landings early and you will beat the pleasure boat crowd.

Remleys is a longer ride than Shem-around 15-20 minutes to the mouth of the Jetties.
Parking can be a problem at both, but Shem has less space.
