Best place to get a yamaha 250 4 stroke?

Looks like i may have blown a head on my 04 200 hpdi.

Considering just repowering the 236 sailfish with a 4 stroke yamaha 250. Where is the best place to get a deal on a lightly used or new one? Ive been watching THT and CL. Are there any other sites i should keep an eye on?

It’s downright depressing having it break down first week of summer after all the work I put into the (**() thing. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

if your boat can handle it get the 300. It’s lighter and more fuel efficient.

Marsha is I believe referring to the 3.3L F250 vs the newer 4.2 L which is lighter. Be careful what you are being quoted on.

yep, if you go with a new 300, then you have to buy all new digital controls and command link plus. 2 grand + on top of the cost of the motor.

I agree the new 300 is awesome. I want one as well, but it’s hard to justify the cost when good F250B’s are around for less than half what a new 300 costs.

Rob’s problem is going to be finding one for cheap during peak season. Will also be an issue with installation as everyone is backed up.

Robbie should be able to do you right though. He went through the '05 F250 I just bought with a fine toothed comb.

Thanks for the advice. Robbie didn’t have anything but is looking to see what he can find. The search continues.

Not a fan of Craiglist spammers, but my neighbor works for this guy. I can verify that he does NOT use factory parts, he uses aftermarket seals, gaskets, etc. I don’t now how good they are. http://charleston.craigslist.org/bod/3088389933.html

read some bad reviews online about that craigslist guy. Thanks for the suggestions, Still Looking!
