Taking a poll…got a slot this winter to take a trip and sight fish for em in the very shallow water. Any suggestions ?
starting a fight? We all have good & bad days. All Charleston guides are great!
Plenty of great guides to choose from. J R Waits @ FishCall Charters would be one of my first choices.

Choose one you will catch fish.
When it comes to shallow water and chasing Red’s, you won’t find anyone that will work harder than Ben Alderman to put you on fish. That’s my opinion. Plenty of shallow water folks out there. One thing if you hire a “guide” and they make you purchase a fishing license, you are not with a legal guide.
After being released, a lot of fish die, but a lot of them live also.
I agree with Fitz…Ben is the man and he is laid back.

Are there really “guides” that charge a charter fee but make you buy your own license? That’s ridiculous! Going about it legally really isn’t that difficult.

Legare Leland - headshaker charters. He’s been guiding for 18 years. Works his tail off to put you on fish. Hell of a nice guy too.
Sight-casted red with Legare from last week.
