So I have think it’s time to change the batteries in my 2010 Carolina Skiff with a 200 Suzuki outboard motor. Where is the best place to get marine batteries? It has two Interstate batteries in it now.
I’ve had great luck with both Interstate and Walmart marine deep cycle batteries. The ones in my boat are Walmart, 8 years old, and they both passed a load test last week. We have Interstate in both of our vehicles and the one in my truck is at least 7 years old. Good enough for the price, to me anyway.

I have had a lot of brands and so far the best has been the Autozone ones.
my choice would be the wal-mart brand. 1. the stores are everywhere so changing out with warranty is easy. 2. they last and do a great job. especially group 27 cranking or 29 deep cycle. 3. interstate has had a leaking problem for the last several years. they must be coming from a different mfg plant out of the country. good many of the local towns fire and police are going away from them. hate to see that as a past sales mgr for interstate but it is what it is.
Deka. USA made! Sold at lowe’s
DEKA,
Made in PA
Sold as Duracell at Batteries Plus or Sams Club.
They are also sold under different brands, check the label for DEKA.
The manager at the West Ashley Batteries plus is very knowledgeable and helpful. I can’t remember her name though.
Wal-mart, even the standard car battery, doesn’t have to be the marine battery. Excellent return/replacement policy.
