Best tide to fish

I am coming down the first week in June for vacation and will be bringing the boat to do some fishing at Murrells Inlet & Pawleys Island. I was hoping to catch some Flounder, Reds, or what ever else might be biting now.
I was wondering what is the best tide to fish on?
Is it best to fish a few hours on each side of the tide?
I typically use mudd minnows & have tried frozen shrimp & frozen cut mullet but rarely have any luck on the frozen stuff. Any where I can get fresh shrimp & cut bait near MI? I am not very good with a net so best if I buy it if I can.
If you have any other suggestions on bait that would be great.
Any help appreciated, don?t have long so I hope to make the most of my time down.

Perry’s in MI has a big selection of live bait. The staff there has been good to me with advice as well.

That is who I get my Minnows from but I have never saw any fresh cut bait or shrimp. I will ask next time in. I never have time to just talk with them, they are usually always busy. Might try stopping in from time to time & catch them on a slow time to ask about what is being caught when & how…

I was in Perry’s 2 weeks ago and they had fresh large mullet for cut bait.

Great, thanks.
