after not too much luck up in Bushy the last couple of trips with the negative tides, muddy water, and ripping currents…decides to change things up today…After talking with Optiker and him suggesting to change up baits from mud minnows to menhaden…I did just that…(still had mudders on the boat though)…
Today I decided to put in at Remleys Point…got there at 1st light and was in the water and at casting for menhaden by 6:20am…found a few and headed over to my first hole by 6:50am…put the new troll motor down and started up the bank of Nowell Creek with a haden on a straight line with split shot…no luck…added a bobber…now luck…went back to the ole trustie mud minnow on a bobber and Wham…Red fish…up the creek a little more Wham another red fish…then nothing…crossed the creek and went to other bank and found a nice grass point with a feeder creek…set the spot lock feature on my riptide i-pilot and started throwing to the point with the cork and mudder…1st cast…trout…and another, another and another…got into a lille mess of trout…caught 6 back to back throwing my cork in the EXACT same spot…then they quit…moved to another spot and caught a bunch of bluefish…7 or 8 mabey 9…lost count…moved from there and went and hit some docks with cut bluefish:smiley: on a straight line with split shot and caught two more reds…all fish caught on incoming tide and released to fight another day…about time the tide got in the grass good I may have caught another bluefish or two but that was it…no more fish…fished part of outgoing with no luck at all:frowning_face:
All in all… 4 redfish between 17 and 20 inches…6 trout between 11 and 15 inches…around 8 or 9 small bluefish…
Water temp made it up to 80.5 degrees today…Water stained!!
Here are just a few pics…didn’t take too many pics today because when I was catching fish…I wanted to hurry and throw back to catch more!!

You gotta watch Optiker. He suggest vienna sausages to me one time. Didn’t catch squat and nearly starved!

Bugs, enjoying your posts but feel bad because you never have anyone out there to take your pic, bub. i’d say take kut08 out with you so you have more time to strike a pose. Thanks for the posts and definitely jealous because you’re kicking my butt this spring in regards to boating fish. Hopefully this weekend my luck will turn. Taking Friday off to get out on the water before all of the crazies take their (**() bow riders out for the first time this year. Good luck next trip!
Thanks Shamrock…and I’m sorry to tell you but all the crazy azz bow riders with their skies were already out this past weekend…Enjoy your Friday out on the water…It’s getting that time of year again where we had better find time on a weekday to fish…It is way to busy with the weekend “party people” on Sat. and Sun…Good luck on getting on some fish!!..Be Safe and Tight Lines my friend!!

Well Bugs got out on Saturday Bushy and fished a few creeks while trying out my new trim/tilt motor and found flounders and reds. Didn’t travel far not knowing if I had things set up right but all-N-all had a good day.
