Beware of Dubose marine!!!!!!!!

Please don’t bash me for posting under the wrong topic.Just think everyone should know. Just had one of the worst experiences Of our life. We had a rod bearing come apart on a evinrude. Called around locally everyone was backed up so we started looking on craigslist. Duboses marine rebuilt powerheads. So we gave him a call. He talked really good like he new his stuff. Delivered the boat to him last Wednesday. He said we could pick it up This Thursday for us to book a room so we could go offshore this weekend. Needless to say on lie after another.we got told the powerhead was ready to set on the mid section just needed the gasket that goes between the mid section for assembly. So we got a gasket set ourselfs on the way down. Got there the heads had not been put on the powerhead. Looked in the cylinders. They had not been bored or honed. So we had to ask why not. He said his mentor told him to use the old rings that they were good. The boat had been removed from the location were we dropped it off.We asked could we take it like it was and get out of there. His response was for full price.Needless to say Sunday we had to get the law to go in with us to get the boat and motor. We Had to pay him his money so we could bring the boat home or take him to civil court before we could get our belongings. We came home tore the powerhead down ourselfs. Nothing had been cleaned The pistons were used, old rings, old bearings, one piston was galded. Needles missing out of wristpins. We learned a valuable lesson call other places around were your going to get your work done to find out more info. Because when we rode around Saturday to some local businesses we learned allot of bad info about them. Look at the great looking piston and rings that came from the rebuilt power head with 0 hours, minutes,or seconds
