Regardless of what the law says or whether you are in a no wake zone or not, I think a little common courtesy/common sense should always take precedent but unfortunately there are too many a$$hats out there that don’t have the same mentality.
Seriously, is everyone in such a big hurry you cant slow down a bit, extend a little courtesy to someone, and enjoy where you are for a few more seconds of a day? Just to not rock someone out of the their boat or swamp them???

I couldn’t agree with either of you more. People “should” slow down and honor no wake zones. People “should” be more courteous. Then again, people “should” obey all laws. People “should” maintain good health. People “should” blah, blah, blah… That said, people that play in the middle of the highway “should” expect to be hit by a truck. People that roll around naked in a patch of poison ivy “should” expect to break out in a rash (unless you’re allergic to poison ivy, of course). People that jump into the lion exhibit at the zoo “should” expect to get attacked by a lion. And, if you’re going to fish on the ICW (no wake zone or not), people “should” expect some asshat (or several asshats) to blow by them and throw a big wake.
No matter how much it hurts, how dark it gets, or how far you fall…you are never out of the fight.
