Anyone taken the family up to BCL and Branson, MO? Looking for ideas and tips before making our travel plans. Looking at going up this summer for a week. I know they have added a ton of family stuff at BCL like bowling and playgrounds and we are going more for shows, parks, nature trails, and golf more so than fishing. But the skeet shooting will be cool. We probably won’t do any boating or fishing guides though.

Any info will be great. Thanks!

Don’t take this one as being a smart arse, but all the way to MO to skeet shoot!
Don’t miss the Marvel Caves, Branson’s Promised Land Zoo ( they used to have times that you could actually help bottle feed some of the baby animals), the Dolly Parton theme park. Been a long time since I traveled through that area.
If you are a Beverly hillbillies fan you can see where they filmed their home.
Thanks. We are looking at spending a day playing the 18 hole course at BCL as well as the Top of the Rock par 3 while the ladies go have a spa day. One day we were thinking of going over to the Silver Dollar City park but haven’t heard anything about it. Another day around the lodge doing pool, arcade, etc. And another day going into Branson maybe and doing some shopping and checking out a show.
Going there to see another part of the country, play a PGA event course, and check a place off our bucket list. Kids had the choice of this, Sanibel/Captiva, Skytop Lodge in the Poconos, and Plymouth MA with a stop in New York City.
They liked the Big Cedar Lodge the best, and to satisfy the beach bug we are taking a quick cruise down to the Bahamas in a few weeks.
We don’t buy things that we really don’t need and like to spend the bulk of our money on experiences and taking the kids places. We have a list of places that we want to take them before they get out of the house and just trying to do one a year. Grand Canyon, Hawaii, New York City, and traveling all the way up the Outer banks are a few of them still.
We are saving the big ones for when they are much older and college is paid for. Scotland, Australia, Africa, and European Coast. If we could two of those in our lifetime we would be lucky.
