i am new to bass fishing and need help. whats the best method right now since the water is still cold for catching bass in a pretty big farm pond (20 acres)?
I have been having luck using rattle traps casted along the bank.

some bass are on the beds right now. others are staging for the water to warm a little more.
start with faster moving lures like rattle traps and spinner baits around the first structure break from very shallow water. if that doesn’t produce switch to slower lures like a plastic worm or lizard on a texas or carolina rig in the same areas.
there are many bass fishing websites that can help you learn, but one of the best ways to learn is to join BASS and read/apply the articles in the magazines. it will give you great basics for fishing seasonal patters on all types of waters. as always, fishing how-to articles are general in terms and must be tuned to your experience levels and fishing area.

cought 5 saturday on lake murrey usen silver rattle trap and gold and green deep diver.
Id texas rig a worm and work the whole place slow.
