Im with you. Catching the new limit, but having a hard time catching the old 21 size limit. Best fish this summer so far 10.5 lbs about 30. Would like more fishing time before I limit out with the new regs. Dont get me wrong Im all for saving the fish that would normally die, but Im done fishing shortly after sunrise.
Do like my Dad and uncle used to do crappie fishing. They would load up the kids in the old 14’ boat just before dark and head out to the crappie holes with 12 doz. minnows. We all fished for a while and then the kids got bored so we climbed up under the bow of the boat and went to sleep on the life jackets. They woke us up when we got back to the cabin to help clean over 100 crappie. They could keep 30 for each one of us.
I’d rather fish than eat.
