Fished relatively offshore for 1/2 day today. Put a 35# smoker in the box within 5 minutes! I’ll post pics when photobucket tells me my password again(Tyler, you could help here with the ones you got). The fish was wieghed on a Shimano spring scale so the weight is close. Next, Chris and I boated no less than 6 brownies all right @ legal. They were left to grow bigger. Then a cuda was almost let go but I decided to see if the submarines were around. Stuck the cuda in the box while I rigged up a 30. Cut a few chunk baits and right on que 2 tigers come out of nowhere. Missed the first shot on a 150# fish. We drifted off our spot with the sharks in the slick(cuda in the transom splash well) and throwing chunks to keep them interested. At one point three tigers, 2-150# flanking a 300#+ with 10 cobia riding shotgun surfed down the waves following our slick. What an awesome sight! Hooked the big one and put on the belt, fought it until we were in 45’ of water, straight up and down, pulled the hook trying to get the big guy to move, Oh well, would have cut it loose anyway! Sloppy seas and great fishing!

I know that spot…problem is the bent toothed fish eat the lemon fish before you can bring em to the boat…next year, I am gonna get that 400 lb tiger for the shark tourney… that wreck holds grouper too… the sharks leave when it is cold and the grouper do not…
Greg1- The tigers are there if the temp is good.
Harris- There is a king tourney this weekend so I will not post the spot but: I fish from HHI- 3’ slop- 1/2 day fishing- lots of cobia. If you know the area it could only be one of 3-4 places.
Cracker- I hear from dive guys that their are some grouper their. There is a much easier spot about 10 miles east of there. This “wreck” hangs alot gear.
Skineej- Sharks are your friends, haven’t you seen Nemo.

The next captain’s course is Oct.6 in Charleston. After you go to it you will know that that is a perfectly tied bowline knot. My noose is right on, be sure to look in your trees tomorrow AM. I will leave you a surprise hanging from a perfectly tied noose.
Have you seen the price of rope lately? Concrete boots always work best!
