I went to the Garden City Pier on Sunday the 23rd and there was a huge mullet feed going on Kings, Spanish and blues jumping out of the water for mullet. Lots of action!!! And nobody fishing for them… Lots of people fishing in the surf for smaller spieces, I wish I could have been out that day…

So the question woulds be to all; have the mackerel come in already? Would it be worth venturing out to see?
Supposedly they have been somewhat sparse here the last few years. But generally they Are not caught in sc waters until the water temp is up a good bit, generally in mid to late summer running into early oct. the amount of reports on the king Mack portion of This site is very low. You may be best asking if they are being caught on the “offshore discussion” section when the season arrives this summer.
Look for Spanish and kings to start getting good in May and June
