Big reds hungry again 9-4-11

Swore I’d stay off the water for the holiday weekend, but after watching the Gamecocks pull out a victory last night, I started feeling lucky. Put the boat in at 6 and went to a low tide spot that I’ve seen good numbers of fish in the last few weeks.

Caught several over slot fish and a couple at 22". After the fifth fish in about thirty minutes, I decided it really wasn’t fair and put the rod downand picked the long lens up. Got a few cool shots, nothing spectacular, but some stuff that I’ve never gotten before.

Reds ate finger mullet, the bigger they were, the quicker they inhaled it.

There were tails and backs out of the water everywhere, it was a good day to be out early. Didn’t bother to wait around for the 2pm flood tide, boats everywhere all over the water by the time I was getting ready to leave. Pulled the boat out by ten and home for lunch with the wife.

If this site let you upload pictures without using photobucket, I could post some, guess you guys will have to take my word for it.

I will second your post, 23sf! Early morning, finger mullet, happy reds and fisherman. We had a fine day today and was glad to get off the water when we did (more weather than people-wise, though!). Good catching!

It would be my guess that you don’t resize you pictures and used up all your space.

Nope, my work machine blocks photo hosting sites like photobucket and image shack. Since I got my smart phone, I haven’t had internet at the house, no reason to…except to upload pictures to photobucket to post of CF I guess.

CF.com needs to host pictures, even if its only for thirty days and then delete them. I’d support that.

I have photobucket account, I just can’t access it all the time.

You’re telling me you’re handling your new photography business from your smart phone?

those are some happy fish, bonz- just dying to get up and into the fiddlers!

They were hungry, believe me. Those guys weren’t even in that shallow of water, they were as happy as could be. Never knew I was there…stalking them with the camera.
