I just found these pics of big reds i caught in FL. I want to see yalls bull red photos if you would like to share them. I have not got me a real big un yet in Charleston but I am ready to.

Caught this one fishing solo a few years ago in late winter…caught in a foot of water in the upper wando on the fly. Biggest one I’ve ever seen inshore by far! Bottomed out my 30# boga with the tail still on ground…and you can see, its longer than my two person cooler seat is wide.

Nice tennispro24. That is what I was wanting to see! And OTF. Real Nice. I have never caught a red on the fly but it is on my list of things to do it 2012.

and i remember when you posted this tennis pro i almost crapped my pants when i saw the photo, what lb tippet and leader did you have/how long did it take you to bring it it/how many times did it go into your backing haha?

DOA I had 10# tippet, fought for 45’ or so, was in the backing countless times, that 1:1 reel ratio definitely got old!! haha…I honestly wasnt even planning on fishing that morning, a friend called me, as he was crossing the bridge and told me it was glassy and he’d figured i’d be on the water…i checked tide, it was low-incoming, and out the door i went with literally just my rod, and extra leader, 2 flies and a mtn dew…sometimes those cluster-f*** trips are the best ones! Goodlucky Jimmy,if you ever want to get up… I’d love to put you on your first red OTF sometime…nothing like it!

tennispro, thanks. that would be awesome! I will for sure take you up on that when ever you are ready. I am off every Sunday , but can get off pretty much when ever to go try for a red OTF. I only have a 6 wt and a 4 wt right now. Think I could do it with the 6 wt? I will pm ya my phone number and we can get up and get out there.
