The “Artemis” has a blue on board and is expected in at 9:20 PM. Leading fish on the dock is currently 555.5# (Molina). 4 fish weighed in so far with Artemis’ fish to be the fifth of the day.
Great interactive website and information at www.thebigrock.com
UPDATE: Marlin unofficial length is 119". They now expect to be at the dock at 10:00 PM
So Marlin experts, what will a 119incher weigh?

All Rise - 31 Contender Fish Around with a pair of 250 Yamahas
Need tail girth to be exact. Should be 750-ish. But between 7-800 for schizzle.
We killed 116" fish that was 506.5. That fish is 600+/-, but could go 750+ if she hasn’t spawned.

Semper Fi - USMC 67’
Likely big enough to win the tournament. Good stuff right there.
w/o a girth I will throw a wild guess of 710. You never know. Like oldschool said, a lot depends on if she has spawned or not. The one we killed was 503lbs at 110".

They just said 10:45 arrival on the vhf.

Just to left everyone know, I think the website crashed b/c of all of the hits. What day of fishing was this?
yep, just tried it and its down. damnit!
Web site back up. This was the first day of fishing. In 50 years of fishing only 6 fish heavier than this one have been brought to the scales. Artemis is a SC boat and I hope it holds up for them. Weather looks good for the week. Scales should be busy.

You ought to be there and staying on the Don Jo.Does DK still fish the Big Rock?
“Women should be obscene and not heard.”
Not my thing. I don’t think the Don Jo is capable of leaving the dock anymore. She is just a floating condo at this point. I’ve never fished off her. We just used her as a place to sleep and fished off something else.

SC boat Artemis maintains the lead at 640 with lines out of the water for the day (Tues).

I’ve got a $100 bet that they will have the heaviest fish… pretty confident that I’ve got a bill coming my way.
