Only 100 boats in it this year…Some competitors couldn’t make the trip with TS Andrea off of the coast this weekend… There were a fair number of billfish released today but none have been boated for a trip to the scales so far. Lines out at 3PM today but those fighting a fish can continue. Two are currently still fighting a fish…

Day Two saw 25 knot winds and 4-6 ft seas and most of the competitors elected to take lay days. Only 10 boats fished Tuesday and only one billfish was caught and released. A 65 lb wahoo was the highlight of the gamefish categories.
Today, 97 boats are fishing. There have been several billfish releases. Hatteras Fever II boated a Blue at 12:47 after a 28 minute fight. The weigh-in will be live on the Big Rock webcam about 4 pm today.
