Trolled north of the SW Banks today on the ledge. Caught 1 little tunny(released), 6 slinger dolphins, and 2 fat kings(released). Had some engine trouble on the port side motor at the end of the day(this new gas is killing my tank and engines!!!). We finally got her running after 3 hrs. On one engine at 5 knots our ETA was 4am! We ended up getting back at 10pm after we got the port engine running again.
Thanks to the Georgetown coast guard for letting our family’s know we’d be late coming back in and were ok. Those guy’s are awesome and we could hear them crytal clear 45 miles out.
We heard another boat on the VHF yesterday that lost total power. A container ship let them board to use the sat phone to call SeaTow/Coast Guard. I never heard anymore??? I’m guessing they were waiting on SeaTow??? Just before the container ship responded we were about to putt over to you guys on one engine to help out if needed. Glad the container ship offered assistance. I hope you guys made it home safely.
