Big Tides

Any suggestions for the best strategy for fishing this weeks big tides. Wando creeks will be muddy on the outgoing i guess and currents strong. Stay home Saturday and watch Furman- Citadel in the losers bowl?

Trout fish early as water will be clear, then marsh hen hunt at dead high if you are in an area to do it. Set up 2 hours from dead low and get after the sheeps!

I was thinking about those big tides but my concern is the 15-20NE wind. I don’t mind cold weather, certainly don’t prefer it, but you add in that wind and some cloud cover and it can take a lot of the fun out of it for me. I think that is partly because my freshwater background of fishing with the trolling motor and casting don’t go well with heavy wind at the coast. Sometimes we want/need wind up here to get fish to bite but not at the coast, at least for me.

Yeah, I’m on the fence as whether to sit this weekend out as well. Already canceled the day off for tomorrow. Dirty water, huge tides and lots of wind. Guess if i gotta pick a weekend to rake leaves it probably should be this one.

Same for me. I’m off Friday and trying to decide whether to go or sit. How much rain are y’all seeing down that way? I know it will be muddy.

Rained pretty good this morning for about 2 hours. Seems to have dried up for now though.

I was convinced to go try it tomorrow, but with the rain as it was, and the fact that I am limited by how far I can paddle a canoe, I may not do it tomorrow. I will have my son with me (4 yrs old) which makes for a frustrating day if I bore him to death chasing down fish with lockjaw lol.

looking at the weather for the holiday it looks to be a lot clearer

it is easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission

dont look like wind is gone be to bad this week
