Hey guys, been looking at reports for awhile now. Just now posting. Went out last 2 days and caught tons of trout. Yesterday catching around 20. All in the window river. Here’s the kicker. Right as the day was about to an end, and bang. This fish. My personal best trout. Huge huge huge trout. In thinking around 6-7. Didnt wanna hurt her with the boga so just estamated. Great fish. Once in a lifetime. Loving all three trout posts recently but remember practice catch and relise and always relise the big spawning females. Also where are the reds? Can’t seem to find any.
Thats a beauty. Kudos on the release.

Despite the warm water temps, I have still found big schools of redfish on shallow flats and small creeks.i don’t know what it is, but the fish in these schools are giant… I’m not complaining through haha! Getting them to eat has been the hard part. I’ve been strictly using the fly rod. They are still around docks, other structure, and deep ledges… If you find them on these ledges you usually will have nonstop action. There also black drum everywhere right now.
Fish tremble at the sound of my name.
will trade top shelf triple secret redfish spots for trout spots that produce that

Huge trout for Charleston I’m being told lol, I’m saying that’s a huge trout for anywhere
I go by inches less strain and stress on fish and weights go up and down but a fish never gets shorter, my personal best is 23in and about 5#s the biggest I have ever heard of being caught in Charleston was 28, I have seen several 26 inch caught so they do exist. To me big trout are between 18-22 and anything over 22 is worth bragging, that looks like a bragger. What where you fishing with.
nice fish by any means.

On a toppup? Wow, I bet that was fun! I was just here checking to see how late in the season I could expect topwater action. I guess I got my answer. My topwaters worked great in Oct. but I lost confident in them after that. May have to drag them back out.
Congrats on a a great catch & release.

I fish top water pretty much every day on lunch on the Cooper. It is not always productive but I rarely spend hours without at least 1-2 blowup. I take quality of strike over quantity sometimes. Not much compares to top water strikes. Hell 2 weeks ago got a 20" striper on a spook, was awesome!
I was gonna say 24, but you’ll have a tough time beating that especially on top water, its been 3 years since I caught the 23 and I have caught several 22s and one other 23 that was a lot smaller. I like the slow sinking twitch baits like bombers and mirror lures, the last few top water fish I hooked hit them as soon as they hit the water.
I’m with PeaPod; Give me a hint where to hookup with a bigboy like that and I’ll fill you in on a couple of my hotspot for Reds.

I catch most of my redfish back there in those black squiggly lines
