bilge pump

Is a 500gph bilge pump sufficient for a 20 ft center console? Thanks

It’s better than nothing, but I would install a 500 GPH primary to clear the bilge of wash water, rain, etc. and a 1000 GPH backup with a large discharge pipe.

I have a relatively small bilge in my Edgewater and I have both a 500 and a 800 GPH pump.

Thanks guys, went and looked in the boat today. The model in there is a sahara 1100 series. It keeps blowing fuses. Someone told me, thats a sign it going bad. Does anybody know if this is accurate? Thanks again.

1100 is fine, and if its blowing fuses, is probably on its way out

The smaller the boat the larger pump needed!

Took the pump apart today, turns out a rock was stuck in the impeller. Cleaned it out and it seems to be running fine. Thanks
