Bill Fishin 2010 Islamorada and Charleston

Well, the winter bluefin season was a bust in NC. The massive amounts of rainfall kept the tunas in the Gulfstream away from the bait, so bites were few and far between. I’m glad its over, but I will always be haunted by the 900+ lb tuna that snapped our harpoon ropes after a 2 hour fight on 200lb unlimited tackle. At least we caught plenty of huge wahoos and blackfins.

As for 2010, we are heading to Islamorada for the next 6 weeks. We are booking charters starting mid May in Charleston. I’m are looking forward to boxes full of dolpihin and riggers full of release flags. Not to mention my ever present itch for swordfish. Give me a call if your interested in offshore charters in either Charleston or Islamorada. I will keep everyone posted as the season begins its kickoff!

P.S. Thanks to all the people who went to DC to fight for our right to fish! Wish I could have made it.
