Bill Fishin Charters 5/28

We had a late start today left the dock just before 8. Had a great crew of all family kids. We started fishing around 10 and raised a pair of sails I saw free jumping. Caught one and had the second nawing on my ballyhoo like corn on the cob (he might have weighed 9 lbs couldnt even fit the bait in his mouth, the other sail that we captured was nice).

Then we worked out deeper to an edge and caught a nice box of gaffers. It was a show when we had all the kids gaffing and wiring fish for the first time. A one of the dolphin had 4 or 5 holes in him before he made it in the boat but some how no fish were nocked of the gaff. I worked us back into the “dead water” where we caught the sail earlier. We then raised a white and 1 or 2 more sails, but couldnt seal the deal. All the meat fish are in 140-200 ft and 550-800ft.

Tommorrow we have the day off then a trolling and swordfishing trip for Sat and Sun.

looking forward to the overnight report.

Good job Michael, taking a bunch of kids out pretty soon, nothing like seeing their excitement catching dolphin and a billfish
