Hey guys,
The fishing down here in Islamorada as been pretty consistant. The Sailfish are starting thier spring tailing with the east winds. It has been pretty fun sight casting to them. Also the dolphin and blackfin have been pretty good from 300-600ft of water. Out deeper the daytime swordfishing is 3-6 bites a day with 1-2 fish caught. No huge swordies recently averaging 150lbs.
As for inshore, I took two trips this week. On one trip we caught 8 nice snook off of current breaks and ditches, 30 or more trout off certain grass beds, redfish, ladys, spanish, drum, jacks, cobia, tripletail and finished the day going 1 for 3 on tarpon in the 70-150lbs range.
I should be down here until late april. Then back to Charleston for charter season and the Gov Cup. If your coming down this way feel free to call for a trip or any advice.

how were you tarpon fishing?
It was kinda imprevised tarpon fishing. We saw tarpon busting every where in the gulf, so we set up a drift with some pin fish which we had to catch.
Fish them under big equalizers. They haven’t caught on down here yet but the tarpon love the clicking sound in dirty water.
