whats the deal guys? I havent been able to get out to the deep blue in almost a month now. I know the fishing has slowed by this point but is there much going on out there? I have a friend that is wanting to come to dock next week and wants to target some bill fish… still catching some sails out there? If so, where abouts? Any tips or comments would be appreciated. Thanks
Had a sail come within 20’ of us anchored in 80-90’. Sails could be shallow? I dont enough about it, but thought i would share. The fish hung around about 10min. Cool thing to watch.
OffshoreSC landed 2 at the Charleston 60 two weeks ago. I trolled some hoo at the J Reef off Savannah just to scout the area really because I’d never been there. It was about 60’. We didn’t have anything hit. Later in the day, had a 25ish Sea Craft completely dark blue hull troll by me several times within 20’ while I was drifting pulling cedar plugs, but never saw him have any action of any sort either. Managed to remain calm enough with him coming right for me… thought about gaffing his plug the last few times but didn’t let the father-in-law see me sweat.

Thanks for the reply guys. And btodag, you shouldve snagged his plugs, hooked em to the back cleats on your boat, and headed to the hill… nothing like losing plugs and stripping the reels to prove a point… haha. But then again, prob did the right thing if the in law was on the boat.
