Fished the FLW Championship friday and saturday we caught about 25 king fish each day. On saturday we could only keep 2 lines in the water for a while, this was our bonus he hit a large ribbon fish down about 45 feet.
It gave us chance to run the new boat, with the up graded steering.
we ran a average of 120 miles oneway each day with 530 gals fuel,200lbs ice, tackle, livewell full, three fishermen and were fishing in a hour and 40 min.
Can’t wait to get the boat back to charleston and do some grouper fishing.
72 MPH…that’s moving…what is your fuel consumption at that speed?
What speed at WOT?
You think that is fast wonder what it will run with props on that baby?
MISTAKES
It could be that the purpose of your life is to only serve as a warning to others.

I recently moved to Biloxi from the Lowcountry. I haven’t had a chance to make it offshore recently, but I may have to re-arrange my priorities after reading your post.
If you don’t mind me asking, were you fishing to the south off Biloxi, or did you run to the west off LA. Approx. how deep were you fishing? Were you able to catch bait on the rigs? Was anyone catching Kings on the rigs closer to shore, within 20 miles of Biloxi?
whats up with that steering set up? it looks like some kind of democratic engineering? have those big motors had steering issues? i imagine that much torque would be tough to control. i can’t imagine a factory set up looking like that.
PS - that is some kind of awesome looking craft though.

The steering is latham sterring rods it put on to tie all three motors together as a safty factor, reduces independent touque on each motor & stabilizes all three motors are tied together. It is typical on triple engine setups that run above 70 mph.
Democratic steering thats funny[:0]
Steering is power assisted you can drive with one hand, its easier than my jon boat.
the steering is not a factory setup but it is highly recommended by the factory. The torque is easy to control it the holding on that I have a problem with, after last week in biloxi I can tell you how stretch armstrong feels like at x-mas time.
Thanks for the compliments Hoppy we’ll have to meet up and go catch one soon.
Commocean I will let you know after the nationals next week, there was some big ones caught.
