Anyone ever tried using a bird green machine combo in the WTFB center off our coast? Thought about running one saturday to try it out, but would rather not waste space of it’s not worth it…thoughts
I’ve caught mostly dolphin but also wahoo and tuna on a boone bird chain with a little skirt and hook trailing it. I usually only troll during the spring though. Worth a shot for sure.
We’re gonna go look for Wahoo at the Triple ledge saturday, guess I’ll deploy it for a bit then. I know they use them all the time in the NE, but no one ever does here.
Blue (full rotation/mirrored wings with bearing swivel) bird with blue/white, pink/blue, or green/yellow ilander and ballyhoo. Those green machines with a pink bird worked well when the yellowfins were still around. Don’t do much with them anymore. Oh, and you’re going to lose that blue bird. SO buy three.

Touche you’re coming next time, ReelTalk said it’s going to be too cold for him to go out until the dolphin arrive. And no the pink and green combo did not work. Nothing else really did though either.

I Hate you. Anyways would you be down for a trip to the south ledge down here around thanksgiving for tuna? I’ll text you or call you tonight so I can explain how collier messed my whole spread up with his OCD and need to control everything, even on someone else’s boat.
