Hey I need a little help with a gift for a 4yr old. It’s my best friends son and I want to get him something cool but am kind of lost. I don’t have any kids of my own so I’d appreciate some suggestions from those of you that do.
Zombie stuff, super hero stuff, or anything remote controlled.

I suggest a ball, bat, and tee set <plastic of course>. great age to get the little fella out and interested in sports. i am always amazed watching the developement of kids in their progression of coordination and skills. can think of one a lame example… but kinda like planting a seed and watching it grow into a bush and eventually having beautiful blooms of roses.

When my youngest was that age I bought him a Fisher Price basketball goal. It’s adjustable in height and can be used for a few years as the child grows. All plastic, so not a lot of damage if/when he misses the goal.

If you and/or his dad are fishermen (assuming you are since you’re posting on here) get him a cheapo spincast combo. My buddies 4 year old will stand in the back yard for hours casting and retrieving. Of course he is already asking when he can go fishing on the “big boat”. So be prepared for that.

Definitely look for this. Made by nerf. We had a b-day party for my niece when she turned 5 and all of the kids there were amazed by it. They kept taking turns stomping on the little foot pad and then running to go get the rocket. Keep in mind that they were mere feet away from a giant bounce house and nobody cared after they saw that nerf rocket.

Large cardboard box. Kid will have the best birthday yet (though he has only had 3 others). 
You can also slip the parents a savings bond or some monetary gift that matures as the kid does.
But… maybe those days are long gone?
