Black Gold on the 4th of July - YS

Tried to get out this a.m. in hopes of putting my youngen on some reds since the low tide was at daylight…wrong! Rain showed up and muddied the shallows. No worries, mullet were spotted and let that girl start slinging the cast net and piling on the bait in the livewell. Got stuck under the Ravenel Bridge due to rain for an hour and finally got a break and headed to the jetties. Seen a full rainbow over Fort Sumter and there’s our sign. Got to the same rock pile the fish were loaded up on a few days ago and this girl got into them again 8) Got to see a sea turtle 35 yards away on this adventure which was icing on the cake. These fishes were once again keying on a specific depth that was only a difference of 5 foot. Good news we didn’t keep any of the keepers again so some of you fellow fishermen have a chance at catching them another day!
