I’m sure there has been a discussion on this but I couldn’t find it. I have several small black streaks on the side of the boat from a buddy who thought it was a good idea to tie up to me without fenders to unload his boat. He apologized, no biggie, no real damage. Anyways, as you can imagine these marks really pop on the sea-foam green. I know they can be removed with acetone and then re-waxed but my question is there some product that i can use to just rub off the streaks without using something as abrasive as acetone and having to re-wax? I appreciate any ■■■■■■■■.
Try Mr. Clean eraser pads, this stuff works good when I get streaks from my trailer rollers
There ain’t no But in Black and White
Mr clean works well, but sometimes it’ll take that shine off the gelcoat. Just FYI
I heard that as well 23sailfish. I don’t have a new boat but i’d like to avoid that. i’ve heard that 3M adhesive remover or goo gone would work as well. has anyone ever tried them? I’ve also heard to try cleaner wax

I just removed a few of them from my Scout. I bought some Maguire’s cleaner wax and it worked okay. Takes some elbow grease without a buffing wheel, but they did come out. Bottle on Amazon was around $15 (same bottle at West Marine was like $30).
I’ve had luck with a buffer and some super light compound then wipe with wax.
2nd the magig eraser, kept a few on my boat at all times… it works and cheap and easy
wd 40 may work depending how thick the rubber is
I’ve used 3m Restorer, worked great.
Wellcraft V-20 sportfish with a 200 Evinrude
Acetone and re-wax.
Sea-Scaper
36 Contender
I’m going to give 3M marine restorer and wax a try. Figure i may as well hit the entire hull while I’m at it. Thank for the input i’ll let yall know how it works.
P.S. West marine has the quart on sale for $24 (normally $40) and the best price amazon was $29.
