Decided to take advantage of the calm day and take my friends 21’ Scout offshore to see if we could find some fish. Didn’t really have a place in mind and didn’t want to get too far off so we set our eyes on a buoy and went for it. Saw the water temp hovering in the high 50s and just beautiful still air and long rollers. Put some cut mullet on the bottom and after 30-45 min we pulled up our first black sea bass. After that we had 30 min where the three of us couldn’t reel them in and let them go fast enough to reel in the next one. Had about 30 min like that and 30 min with nothing and back and fourth for a few hours. All total we brought about 30 up between 9.5 and 14 inches. Kept four total and got some nice filets.
Good fishing trip! Good eating too!
God Bless,

Being on the water is a blessing, catching fish is a bonus!
“Come follow me.” Jesus said “I will make you a fisher of men.”
Matthew 4:19
When you get into the BSBs thick, we often will switch to jigs to find the bigger fish. Good catching!
