Would really love to boat one of these! What are they hitting? Troll any differently than you would for dolphin??
We picked up picking 4 blackfins yesterday trolling back in from the 226 hole. Had a little boat trouble so we trolled back and started picking up blackfins at 130ft tru 68ft. they were with the flyers and porpoise. Pulling ballywoo with green skirts with feathers just like pulling for dolphin 8 mph. we had to leave them due to gas issues.Also picked up 3 dolphin at 200ft and a lot of hits for some reason.
Were the schools on top, or you just randomly trolled through some that were deep?
They were on top running with the porpoises mainly. wish i could have ran on main gas tank instead of reserve.I could have caught allot more but had to keep a straight line to shore.
