A friend (Mark) and I left Wapoo Cut boat ramp right at 5am yesterday heading SSE (150 heading). Kinda bumpy ride in the 21’ bay boat. Stopped in 80’ and caught our limit of blackfish in less than hour. Most of the Blackfish had been feasting on cigar minnows as several were thrown up on the deck and in the livewell. Pushed on out and finally found 70 degree water around 150’. Put lines out and started trolling SSE and then more south. Trolled for about an hour with only one missed strike on the way back cedar plug. Finally worked out to about 180’ and 72 degree, We were listening to a Marlin story on the radio when lines went off. First one, then two then, three. A Triple with two people on board… I reached up and just tighten the drag on the way back rod and we both grabbed another rod and both had nice dolphins jumping. The fish I had cooperated nicely and stayed wide and out of the other lines. Mark’s fish didn’t behave so nicely and had quickly gotten over the way back line (which had a fish on) and was outside both of the lines on the other side of the boat. I stuck my rod in a holder grabbed the way back and got that line cleared from his line, and put it back in a holder and cleared the other two lines. The fish on the way back was clearly the smallest of the 3 and the fish that I had started with was still behaving nicely out on the port side so I grabbed the way back rod and quickly got the fish to the boat and just slung it on the deck in front of the console. By this time Mark had his nice cow close to the boat, so I grabbed the gaff and got that one in the box. Mark corralled the lose slinger and cleared the deck while I finally got back to the rod I started with and got that fish to the boat to be gaffed. This was a nice bull and ended up being the big one for the day right at 20# (Boga weighed back on land). 3 for 3 with only two people wohoo!!! We put the two unmolested lines back out, then the way back plug. While I was getting ready to put the 4th line back out another reel start sin

Boredom punctuated by pandemonium! Sounded like a fun trip, good job and thanks for the report.

Live on Edisto so maybe I can help with the chores. One to skipper and one to run 5 lines is a tough go.
