I have a little bit of a problem with that company. I hate to whine about anything, I don’t, and I’d hate to falsely accuse anyone on the Internet for doing wrong, but here’s my beef.
In 2006 I paid a design agency to design this logo for one of my custom builds. This was one of my proofs.
I posted it on several boating forums on the net at the time. A year or so later this company starts business and their logo bears a very striking resemblance to mine. Same font, almost, same cutlass almost…

Capt. Larry, since you ?hate to falsely accuse anyone on the Internet for doing wrong?, I thought I?d fill you in on some things before you were tempted to do something so silly. Our BlackJack has been on the market since 2004, logos and all. In fact, we even have a logo that we used to put on brochures, hats, and t-shirts that featured a bearded pirate, kind of like your logo. But since our logos hit the market 2 years before yours even existed, I find it unlikely that we were the ones who copied you. Now, whether it?s a coincidence or not that these two logos share so many similarities, I can?t say, but we?re happy to call it a coincidence if you are.
Fred67, you are correct, sir. We took that photo here in Arkansas on the Arkansas River during a performance test with our Yamaha rep.

Good enough for me. I don’t care, got more work than I can ever do anyway. Enough that I don’t have to advertise. Coincidences do happen, just not very often
