I know one of you guys can answer this question.
The rack of the buck that I shot last year and found 2 weeks ago has the skull attached.
How do I treat the skull for mounting?
Can I just put it in Bleach and then spray it with some kind of coating?
Also interested. Found a nice antler that’s kind of stained and would like to bleach

Haven’t done it, but will this winter. I’ve read not to use bleach as it will deteriorate the bones quicker over time. Instead use peroxide. I read 5% peroxide\95% water for 12 hours to bleach naturally looking. Don’t submerge the antlers.
There’s a bunch of YouTube videos showing how do this this using beauty store chemicals for bleaching human hair. This uses volume 40 creme and power lightener mixed together to make a paste which is applied to the the skull. Again, don’t apply to the antlers unless you want them white.
In fact, I have a small skull here that I found last year in the woods that I might try this with tonight and let you know the results.
This is one the taxidermist did. He used the beauty supplies method, then put some sort of coating on the antlers.
Sorry if the picture is ginormous, took it on the tablet.
Peroxide. You can also just use Kilz Stain Sealer spray ( white ) then spray a clear satin finish over that.
This one was painted. I also stripped the velvet off and stained the antlers.
There’s a guy on YouTube called white bone creations. He’s got a couple of very good videos.
