We ended up catching our limit everytime we went out except the last run were they were hard to find. news est. 300,000 people hit south fla for mini season and they get hit hard Quick! we have some great #s on the atlantic side of the keys in Hawks channel but the storm in the gulf had the winds blowing 10/20kts. all week keeping us on the Fla. Bay side, less then 10’ deep all week. got a call from my daughter expecting her frist child and it was comming 4 wks early. loaded the truck and took a cat nap and headed home at 3:30am, left my crew to finish out the night bully netting and they caught a few more limits. drove the 14 hrs straight through after a week of beer, crown and good eats arriving back in chas @6pm, showered and headed to the hosp arriving in time to greet the newest member of Erics and Eds all gril fishing/diving team, Emilee Ryan @ 11:01pm 5.4lbs. great job by the real BUG CATCHER, Leslie who will make the trip south next yr.

I witnessed first hand why he is The BugCatcher. On the first spot he took us to, the bugs were lined up like cars in used car lot. After a few schooling lessons, I was able to improve my technique and get some in the boat. Unfortunately, I didn’t take the camera until the bugs were hard to come by, but you can see a couple and a nice (for Florida) hogfish.
Ed, thanks for an unforgetable trip. I can’t wait until the next adventure. As always, the eating was as good as the catching. Congratulations on the new addition to our all girl fishing team.
