Me and Phil fished upper end of the lake last weekend. We had 7 keepers 4 of the biggest fish weighed together 50 ibs.

That’s a heck of a day! Congratulations on the fish. There aren’t too many days like that on Murray that I’ve heard of. There have definitely been some nice fish around lately. Hopefully a sign of good things to come this spring.

Well like I told Phil, I wasn’t smart enough to invent the technique but I was smart enough to continue to use it when someone else shared it with me down on Lanier… I’ve shared it with a whole lot of fishermen and message boards since then. Fishing is suppose to be fun and it don’t get much better than seeing a bait get blown up close range…lol.

Hoping to get back to fishing in the next month or so and I will definately have me a “transom bait” out when pulling freelines. I wish I had a $1.00 for every time someone on the boat suggested putting one right behind the boat because that’s what they they do offshore and I just wrote them off saying that’s only because of fish coming up in the prop wash and the stripers here are waaaay too spooky to feed that close to a moving boat.
Can’t wait to try it.
