Blue Heaven 7/12 (pics added)

Pushed off a little after 4 from Hobcaw. Went down south with a decent number of boats. Pulled back at 630 when we saw a sail free jumping. We picked up our first sail, my first, just before 8 and then another around 1, another first for one of the crew. We had another one come in a little later and it knocked down half of our spread. Overall it was a great day on the water. The sails were out there (I think we saw at least 3 free jumping throughout the day), and the water was like a lake. Can’t wait to head back out. I’ll get the rest of the pictures up tomorrow.

Nice catch man. How deep were you when you caught the sails??

very nice Richard, looks like you got him on a winch.

Congrats on the first sails for you and your crew. Thats a great feeling. Did you guys get any dolphin? Looks like there should have been more reports from yesterday… maybe it was slow for the rest of the fleet?

We didn’t see a dolphin the entire day unfortunately and we fished from 250-500 feet.

rookie question: Why is the sailfish flag upside-down?

released alive, flag is flown rightside up if fish was killed

You are absolutely correct but I always thought a released fish should be right side up and a killed fish should be upside down - since it is dead.

Lot’s of places now fly them right side up no matter what.

nice going yall
