Blue Marlin(pic added)

Fished in 450 feet on a huge bait ball most of the day with bait everywhere. Managed 2 mahi in the first 30 minutes of fishing then the bait ball disappeared. Pushed into the ledge and managed a couple of more bites put one more mahi in the box. Went back to where we saw the bait ball and by now there is scattered weed all over with patches starting to form over it. Flyers everywhere. Put another mahi in the box.

While trolling around this area we keep seeing big fish free jumping in the area. Finally a little after 1 we get the bite. She ate the short rigger behind the squid chain and she proceeded to dump the 30 we had her on. The Blue put on one of best show I have ever witnessed. She did all she was supposed to do to try and throw the hook. Had her 30 feet from the boat but she was just messing with us and sounded on us 3 times. Finally after almost a 2.5hrs fight we put her boat side. Got a couple of pics and that was it. By this time it was 4 pm and time to go. We estimated her to be in the neighborhood of 250-300lbs.

Awesome day on the water with good times and a good crew. Complete team effort to catch mine and the boats first Blue Marlin. Oh yeah almost forgot it was my buddies first time offshore and he caught the biggest mahi of the day around 30 then got to help catch a Blue Marlin.

will try and post video and pics when i get them.

here are the pics and hope this works
