Reggie and I headed up to OI this weekend for bluefin. Brought 2 more from Hilton Head and met up with some buddies from Wilmington, NC and NJ. We managed to get out only one of our 2 booked days, but we did manage to get on a few fish that day. We went 3 for 4 on bluefin and picked up a small yellowfin. Our harvested fish went #265 at the dock and the YFT was right at 30#. We’ll be back up atleast once more before the fish slide farther up the coast.

Nice work!
My boss, our CEO and my two counterparts from MS and TX fished that boat in Aug. 2006. We caught two bailer dolphin the whole day. $1,800 with tip and 4 small filets…I should have put the fish in the hotel safe instead of the refrigerator!
To top it off, the captain (at the time) was diabetic and ate too many carbs that day and had an “episode”. He could hardly stay awake and was getting sick on our way in. The mate and I were at the helm planning our return to the dock since he had never docked it, but did know the inlet and I was comfortable docking a large boat. The captain started feeling better as we made it through the sound. I hope he got that under control!

Sorry to hear all that. I’ve known Capt. Dennis for a bit and he is a good guy. I’ll definitely fish him again.
I believe Capt. Dennis is a different captain than the one we had.

Courtland, thought about answering your post a few weeks ago but already had trip lined up for Venice, La this week. looks like a good trip! would like to hook up with you in the next few weeks to try the blackfin on top water! Ed.
If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.
