Bluefin Sightings!!!!

I have heard some reports of Bluefin tuna being spotted out in 65’ of water. They were out there busting bonitas on the surface. It sounded like a pretty cool sight to see. This is definitely the time to go looking for them. I can’t wait to bust out the 80 wides and 130’s and go try em! Capt. Chuck Griffin is going to do a seminar on catching bluefins on the 17th of December if anyone is interested. He is a great captain that has a wealth of knowledge.

North, South, any general areas or specifics?

Fishing on the bottom is like having sex with the lights turned off. It feels good but I wanna see it.

I have heard that they were south, towards ■■■■■■■■■ Day. Those fish are probably moving north. They are usually found around good live bottom areas that hold good bait as well as bonitas. I caught a couple big ones in North Carolina with Bobby Garmany and John Warren. It was an awesome experience and can’t wait to do it again. It would be great to be able to catch one out of Charleston!!

Not sure if this helps you out any but tons of bonitos/little tunny out in 70-85 ft. down south yesterday. Did not see any signs of bluefins.
