Fished in the 300’s. Dropped lines in 200’ and pushed on out. Picked a nice gaffer in 250’. Worked a few weed lines along the way all loaded with peanuts. Caught a few more nice fish in 1400’ on a weed line we had all to ourselves. I heard on the radio Petrel landed a 62lb dolphin. We ran out of bait at 1:00, put out the plastics in 1450’ and bumped it up a little. In 890’ the mouse trap starts screaming. I’m watching for the aerials only to have my Bobby Brown Standard stolen by a GROWN wahoo. Bit thru 400lb like it was thread.
Finished up with 16 dolphin and a monster wahoo bite’

Nice day- a bit odd to find a grown wahoo out that deep.

The Petrel did have a nice bull.I saw the carcass.

I’ve caught plenty of wahoo past 1000’. If there is structure that holds bait, theres a wahoo around.
