Got a late start lines in @9:15 inshore of the 226. 250’ started picking at the phins. Pushed a little deeper finding rips and scattered weeds trying to form up. 450’ a blue one takes a swipe at the mouse trap then comes up on the mackeral teaser. Couldn’t get a hook in him. 575’ a White one comes up under the left flat checking things out, left short pops with a dolphin bite and the White starts following the dolphin around the boat. Put a couple more nice gaffers in the box hit 600’ REAL FISHY WATER, boil on the long right rigger,it pops, White one hooked up!!! Nice fight with some great aerials. Backed down on him and had him to leader in no time. Got some good pics. Congrats to Johnathan Huffman on his first billfish. Took a dunk in 600’. Had one more shot at a white but pulled the hook in no time. Ended up 1 for 4 on the Marlin and a box full of nice Mahi
