Bluewater Tailer 05/02

Slept in late today because I thought the wind was going to ruin my trip out to the bluewater. Decided to give it a shot anyways despite the fact that the flags were straight out. Started making my way out around 12:00 and made it to the bluewater and was rigged up with a 3wt in my hand by 12:05

As I arrived I saw two big tails waving at me, made a perfect cast 3 foot in front of the smaller fish, the water boiled and it was on!

After about a 20 min battle on a 3wt fly rod, this freshwater redfish was landed and quickly released.

Despite the water only being blue because they dye it, it was a pretty good day:smiley:

What pattern? I’ve never got a carp on a rod and reel. Just an arrow.

Keep casting.

Carp…thought it was a rare fresh water Red.

Eagles may soar, but weasels never get sucked into jet air intakes
