bluewter maps

Anybody using bluewater maps with seaview. Is it worth the money? any thoughts would be helpful

Yeap.

If you know how to read it, can be pretty effective.

If you purchase a fish here map and compare what you read yourself, you will get better at knowing what to look for.

Actually have a scheduled call with one of their administrators this afternoon. I will report back afterwards.

Do not tell fish stories where the people know you; but particularly, don’t tell them where they know the fish.

Thanks

I apologize for the late response. Called and spoke with ubetcha off of THT who is an administrator of the Bluewater Supermap site. I was crosseyed by the time we were finished talking. I’m not going to go into a ton of details here but even if you don’t buy the service, give them a call. You will learn more about oceanic currents, salinity, chlorophyll, temps etc in 30 minutes than you would ever pick up on your own.

Now as far as the site goes, It has a lot of great features. You can overlay everything to pinpoint hot areas, those guys are right there if you have any questions, they do “fish here” cahrts that you pay for but can then go back and look through all of the filters to see what made them pick that spot that day to fish and make notes for future reference.

The site itself is a little “sticky” and after 30-45 min it will log you out. I will probably pick up the paid section for the year and fish it to see how it works out.

Hope this helps. Feel free to PM if you have any other questions.
