Does anyone in Charleston build boat accessories like t-tops that would also be able to construct a good, heavy duty bording platform for a boat? I know I can buy the flimsy ones from west marine, overtons, etc, but I want a good sturdy one that I know will hold up. I am not getting any smaller!!
Pit,
Get with Bryson on here. Hes got a shop on Rivers Avenue where they could fabricate just about anything you can think of. I’ve never seen them produce anything short of top notch.

If you get something made, post it. Looking for some type of swim/boarding ladder for my boat. Wife won’t get in the water cuz she doesn’t like getting back in via the motor. I get it.

That’s the same issue I have, plus the fact that I am getting older and heavier and my motor doesn’t need the hassle!! LOL

They’ve got a Facebook page. The name of the business is N’th Degree fabrication and their new location is on Rivers Avenue. PM Bryson for details but everything I’ve seen those guys make is amazing! Top notch work over there.

I’m trying to get you a picture of the platform they just made from John who does the welding. He’s in the keys fishing right now and is slow responding to me for some weird reason. …haha

Sorry, guys! All of our phones went swimming in the “dry” box over the weekend. John got his replaced already, so I’ll PM you his number. He’s at the shop today; I’m actually at my day job right now. Ryan, thanks for the kind words! We got to put the platform to good use this weekend.

I wouldn’t talk you out of any of the other options. But, I put one of these on my 17’ HenryO years back. It is solid. I got one with a three step ladder (below the platform) so you can get balanced on the first/deepest step. The ladder stays stowed without any trouble. Added convenience of doubling as a live well (plumbed cooler) platform very nicely.
Measures 17 1/2inchX 6 ft.
Sorry about the sideways picture.

Thanks Matt… I will think about what I may be able to do to modify that platform to make it work. I’m unsure about it right now, but thanks for getting me a pic!!
