Last Sunday on the boat:
-8 Reds from 16" to 30"
Yesterday from the Beach:
-2 Sharpnose-4 1/2’ and 5’
-4 Reds 28",31",32",35" and 38"
-booted 3 other Big Reds
-something of a Big Red teaching day for yours truly-
-“You need to drive that PVC pipe in deeper or the fish will pull it over. Oops, there it goes-dam just had that reel cleaned!”
-“You don’t need to reel while the fish is taking line.”
-“That rig is a little light for Big Reds.” As we watch our newbie spend 45 minutes catching a fish in the middle of the run when we all should have been landing fish.
-and so forth:wink:
-it was a lovely day and all had fun-everyone caught one or more fish and, I hope, got a bit more knowlegible in the art of Red fishing.
