Spring for that foam…it holds way better than anything else I’ve tried
In the end…still a lot less expensive than the MFC boat box that was given to me or some of the others out there(nothing wrong with them, btw)

Glue a piece of foam to the lid of the box on the outside… That way you can attach your wet flies on the outside until you wash the salt off.

I have a piece of noodle foam that takes care of that…got a box that was a gift and has foam on the outside and it’s never had a hook in it.
